Even though I knew that Maggie also was very, very happy with how the pictures came out, I was surprised to see that some of our pictures had made it into her online portfolio. While two of the three aren’t the one’s that I’d necessarily choose, — I do really like the one of Sridevi, with her “little sister hair style” :-) — they are pretty good ones.

It used to be whenever I saw photographers displaying their work in malls, I wonder what it would be like to have your pictures displayed as an example of the artist’s good work. And now I (sort of) know. :-)

The rest of the stuff I’ve been promising (storybook, speeches, programs, etc.) are on hold as I struggle to design a nice website for them. I’ve gone through around 5 designs and hopefully I’ll eventually find something I like that looks good at all resolutions. If you have some experience in the area and have some time, I can tell you the various limitations I’ve been having with all the different tools and technology out there.

I’m also sorting through the thousands of photos and will be uploading a bunch shortly.

In the meantime, you can enjoy these two pictures, which are two of my favorites. While Crissy is always beautiful, our photographer was so talented that she was able to make me look (almost) handsome! The picture on the right looks like it could almost be in a bridal magazine. :-)

Plus you can measure how organized the new couple is based on when they cash the check. Some couples cash it the next day, presumably for some spending money on their honeymoon. Others will wait for months, confounding my ability to balance my checkbook.

I recently discovered a 3rd category: those that just never cash it. This is happened for the past 3 weddings I’ve been at. I’m not sure if they lost it, didn’t get it, or really like the design of the check. Honestly guys, my checks won’t bounce!

So it makes we wonder if Crissy and I have some orphaned presents out there. There was plenty of opportunity for them to get misplaced, and the UPS folks could have easily diverted a few of the hundred or so boxes that came. :-)

Now that we’re sending all of our thank you notes, we’ve noticed we can’t find a gift or anything from some really close friends. We’re more than content to let the matter lie, but now I’m really curious if it’s normal to have a small percentage of gifts go AWOL.

I know that everyone is anxiously waiting for pictures, video, and other things from the weddings. I’ll start getting those online as Crissy and I go back to work (boo!), and try to bring order to an apartment that is completely flooded with presents (thanks!), luggage, and general mess.

I wanted to blog regularly during the wedding week to give a nice play-by-play to everyone that couldn’t make it. But since things got so hectic, I didn’t have a chance. As I get the other content posted, I’ll try to post some of the more amusing anecdotes with summaries of the days.
